What does this short term means? Dad’s day? Fathers day?
The D stands for DAY of Days. When then world changed from disaster into victory. US, British, Canadian troops in operation Overlord pushed the enemy back.

The jerry can is known as the can that won the world War II. It was the secret weapon and the allied mass produced some 21 million jerry cans in late 1944. Many was made for D-day landing at the beaches in Normandy.

We have collected 49 pcs of the 1949-1945 jerry cans (link below) and you can get your hands on yours from today.

From military fuel can to iconic bar cabinet!

Today it´s been 85 years since the invention of the small iconic jerry cans took place. It was market in 1939 was first developed in 1937 by the Müller engineering firm in Schwelm to a design by their chief engineer Vinzenz Grünvogel

The original design proved far superior and these fuel containers were subsequently used in all theatres of war around the world. Such was the importance of the cans in the war effort that President Roosevelt noted "Without these cans it would have been impossible for our armies to cut their way across France at a lightning pace which exceeded the German Blitzkrieg of 1940

The can has a significant design. The lid, shape, material and dimension. It could be dropped from an aircraft and with two handles it could be moved around easily.

Racing green - or British Racing green - why this name for the color of the Danish Fuel Bar- & Bathroom cabinets?

It takes its name from the green international motor racing colour of the United Kingdom. This originated with the 1903 Gordon Bennett Cup, held in Ireland (then still part of the UK), as motor-racing on public roads was illegal in Great Britain. As a mark of respect, the British cars were painted shamrock green.

There is no exact hue for BRG – currently the term is used to denote a spectrum of deep, rich greens. "British racing green" in motorsport terms meant only the colour green in general – its application to a specific shade has developed outside the sport.

-the jerry can absolutely comes from industrial designs as the invention was for supplying the troops during world war II. The allies immediately duplicated the little wonder and manufactured millions. We have brought the jerry can forward in time and re-invented it in these skyline scene in N.Y.

These days we do celebrate that it's been ten years since we invented the design for the bar cabinet and added a new wood type: CORK

Re-designing the small jerry can has been going on for the entire twelve years we have made all all various cabinet designs. For the bar cabinet it’s been ten year since the idea was born. We started out with interior shelvings of polycarbonat. Many attempts to find the right shade and colors for the collection.

As you may know all the wood interior we make is called plywood - bended plywood. How do we bend wood? We use thin layers of wood veneers and put them in layers and glue them together. Then we have made sets of molds and press the layers together so they will be shaped by the molds. After glue is hardenes you have a solid wood interior in your new bar Cabinet.
